Climbing circles for children - Prague and surroundings

Climbing rings for children and the associated question of how to choose the right ring are now troubling many parents. The moment you decide on climbing as a sport, the search for the right ring awaits you, which can be challenging and confusing. That is exactly why we have selected the best climbing rings for children in Prague.

Ruzyně climbing wall

We can recommend it to residents of Prague 6, Řep and nearby Hostivice Ruzyně climbing wall s velkorysými prostorami a výbornou dopravní dostupností autem i hromadnou dopravou.

BigWall

If you are close to the yellow line B of the metro, you will definitely appreciate the BigWall climbing wall on Českomoravská. BigWall offers afternoon classes for children from six to 15 years old, either on the wall or bouldering. The quality of the local clubs is evidenced, for example, by the fact that there are already the last places left on the clubs for the first half of the year, so hurry up!

BoulderBar

If all the climbing walls seem too high to you or your child, there is no need to despair BoulderBar is here for you. In addition, if your child attends a group from one of the nearby schools (e.g. ZŠ F. Plamínkové or ZŠ Korunovační), he can participate in group courses, for which he will be provided with transportation to the climbing and back to the group. Definitely don't despair if you can't take advantage of this event - BoulderBar offers family lessons with an instructor, individual children's classes and classic afternoon classes.

Laugh Off

The climbing center is ideal for complete beginners as well as advanced climbers Smíchoff. It's no wonder that with great facilities, friendly staff and fun climbing, the local children's courses fill up very quickly every year. Enrollment at Smíchoff opened this week on August 23, 2021, and you can choose from the Bouldering group, individual courses by age (preschool, younger school and older school children) and a course for competitive children. The price of the circle varies according to the group and the day, usually around four and a half thousand to five thousand CZK per half-year.

Wall of Holešovice

For friendly staff and an almost family atmosphere, definitely think about Holešovice climbing wall. A half-year course for your child here will cost you 3950,- if you attend once a week. The advantage here is that all climbing equipment is already included in the price. The local climbing club is looking for new members, especially in the 8+ age category.

Sambar Kladno

Sambar Kladno offers own climbing rings for kids. The most popular are half-yearly climbing courses on a rope or on a boulder. The bouldering circle is for an hour, but the rope climbing can be longer – 60, 90, 120 minutes. The price of the courses is 3,200 CZK for boudlering and 4,200 CZK for a rope climbing course. The total length of the course is 16 lessons (the schedule of which can be found on the website). In addition, Sambar also offers crash courses, individual lessons (both bouldering and rope) and even birthday parties. If you are from the Kladno district, Sambar is the ideal choice for a children's climbing group.

Where else?

If none of these options suit you for transportation or other reasons, don't hesitate to look for other options. Prague is truly unique in the number of climbing centers and walls for its size, so just go for it!

What's next?

If you have already chosen the ring and are now thinking about the next step, do not despair. For example, look at climbing frames or a seat (if your child has been climbing for a long time). Our articles give you a choice climbing frame for children, so seats for children will help (or you can advise yourself from climbing frames or a seat).

If by any chance climbing on the wall is no longer fun for you, we recommend ours TOPOS of Prague climbing areas or articles summarizing the biggest and most popular of them – Prokop valley, Hlubočepské plates, Divoká Šárka and Braník.
