Vinořské sands is a relatively small but very well protected sandstone sector not far from Prague. These are sandstones that have their own climbing rules, different from the limestone rocks of Prague, as they are Hlubocepy. The vineyard is secured with new rings and has a very good landing area. It is therefore an ideal place to learn sand climbing and ethics associated with it. Remember one big rule here: wait more than 24 hours from rain to climb.

If you want to go climbing here in a larger group, please contact the area administrator via HO Satalice. Climbing is subject pravidlům pro písky.

Access

The road to the Vinořská písky sector is very straightforward, especially after you get to Vinoř. We recommend getting off at the "Vinořský hřbitov" bus stop. Then just go to the very nearby street V Obůrkách and towards the ponds and the forest. Go around the pond (from any side) and you will reach the hiking trail near the sandstones. That's where you'll find rocks and climbing.
