As Šárka gains popularity, so does the difficulty of climbers. Moving in Šárka has always been a challenge. There is often no short path from sector to sector, which does not alleviate the huge number of paths that can be found here. For that reason, we have prepared four bouldering circuits for you across Divoka Šárka, divided according to difficulty into Green (V1-V2), Purple (V3-V4), Blue (V5-V6) and Red (V7-V11). The goal is to give climbers the opportunity to better plan their day in the Valley and follow the route that best takes you around the lines at your level and thus not waste time unnecessarily considering which sectors make sense to connect together.

Main circuits

As we already wrote, there are 4 main climbing circuits in Šárka - divided according to difficulty - Green (beginner), Orange (advanced), Blue (experienced), Red (expert). Each has a different number of lines, but some sectors are repeated more often than others and serve as clues. Especially then Skalky below Nebušice, Rocks behind Aritma and Devil's pants, which are present in each of the four circuits.

How to find your way?

Šárka is a protected area, so it falls under certain climbing rules. For that reason, you won't physically find any circuit markers in the valley itself. But there is a way that allows you to plan your day well. Below you will find tables in which you will see which sectors are in which circuit, along with their GPS coordinates and the difficulty of the routes. With TOPO for circuits, you will find colored dots on the corresponding routes indicating the assignment of the route to the given difficulty circuit.

Support points

Support points or support points are places where you can go in Šárka to regain strength, relieve yourself or have refreshments. Since the valley is a reserve and quite "secluded", there are not too many such places. Apart from Mekáč (which we try not to recommend), here you have:

Refreshment: Girl's Leap Inn(recommended), Šárka Snacks, Restaurant U Jug (Divoká Šárka) and Chestnut (Veleslavín)
Rest: Swimming pool at Veselík
Trade: Albert Nebušice, ICU food Divoká Šárka

Green Circuit (V1 – V2)

The green circuit is the lightest and largest section of the Divoká Šárka bouldering circuit. There are a total of 87 routes in 15 sectors. There are 7 sectors on the Main Circuit. The other 3 large ones can be found a few hundred meters from the circuit on the slopes. The length of the main route is just over 4 km. With visits to Aritma, Pod Nebušicemi and Vyhlídka, the length increases to 6 km.

We recommend sectors outside the main circuit Skalky below Nebušice – 11x V1 and 9x V2 – Nebušický view – 8x V1, 1x V2 – a Rocks behind Aritma where there are a total of 10x V1 and V2.

In practice, it is a circular route around the valley, on which you will come across almost all sectors of Šárka. Ideal for newcomers to the valley and newcomers outdoor bouldering. We recommend leaving the whole day for the circuit with the possibility of resting in the Inn or at the swimming pool inside the valley.

Orange Circuit (V3 – V4)

The orange circuit is the second in order of difficulty among the circuits in Šárka. All in all, there are 91 boulder lines in difficulty V3 to V4 in 14 sectors. On the main route you will find 3 large sectors – Skalky pod Nebušicemi, Vyhlídka and Čertovy nohavice. Then another 5 on the extended circuit. The length of the main route is just over 2 km. By visiting the sectors next to the Girl's Jump (BOOMerang, Parachute, Last Rock), the length increases just under 4 km. If you want to go to Aritma as well, count on 6 kilometers circuit.

3 smaller circuits split off from the main route. The two "more important" ones are on Artim - 12x V4, 4x V4 - and on the Last Rock sectors. Specifically BOOMerang – 2x V4 – Parachute – 3x V4, 1x V4 – a The last rock, where there are two lines from each.

The orange circuit is more focused on the slope near Nebušice, where you can spend the whole day. There are three variants. Try to walk the entire circuit in one day (not recommended) or aim for Aritma and the rocks on the other slope from Nebušice or the main circuit near Nebušice.

Blue Circuit (V5 – V6)

The blue circuit is the second hardest in Divoká Šárka. There are 25 lines on 6 boulder sectors. There are only 2 sectors on the main route. But the circuit splits and allows you to visit Aritma or the trio of sectors on the opposite slope - BOOMerang, Parachute and Highball. The main circuit has 2 km. Walks to Aritma and Highball will add slightly more than 2 km (in total approximately 4.2 km)

As we have already written, from the main circuit there are two branches to Aritma and to the opposite slope of Šárka. But they are noticeably smaller than the rocks near Nebušice. The Blue Line is aimed at advanced rock climbers who already know where to go. Therefore, the number of routes, sectors and the length itself are smaller than in the previous two circuits in Šárka.

Red Circuit (V7 – V11)

Red circle is the last and at the same time the most difficult circuit in Divoká Šárka. You will find 21 routes on six sectors. There are 3 sectors on the main line with the already traditional possibility of branching off to Aritma or BOOMerang. The total length of the main circuit is 3 km, the large circle has 2x more (6 km).

The red circuit is clearly the most difficult in Divoká Šárka. It is exclusively for those who really know what they want and are able to get it. You will find here a total of 7x V7, 9x V8, 5x V9 and the most difficult route of Divoká Šárka – V11.

Bouldering circuits of Divoká Šárka are our "last" missing part in delivering a complete bouldering experience in Šárka. You can already find all TOPO sectors in our section Wild Sárka.
